Digi WWWOW Awards 2015! Time To Increase Your Digital Reach. #DGWWWOW

Author:

Digi WWWOW Awards – Malaysia’s only Internet for All Awards which is based on 100% user-generated entries is now back! Content creators, online entrepreneurs and social influencers, this is your time to shine! The Digi WWWOW Awards is like the “Oscar” for Malaysia’s digital scene and it is a once a year chance for Malaysia’s online entrepreneurs, content creators and social influencers to showcase our creativity and ingenuity in using the Internet. This award had helped to kick off several independent publishers to internet stardom including Ernest Ng from the popular webcomic series “Bro, Don’t Like That La Bro” (although Ernest is already quite popular back then when he receive this award but this award also opens up many opportunities from my observations).

Are Bloggers Still Relevant?

Author:

There is one thing about the digital marketing scene in Malaysia – it is oversaturated with bloggers. Many business owners and brands tend to want to engage these bloggers to talk about their brand but at the same time, there is a growing segment of brands who do not believe in bloggers anymore. If you are reading this, chances are you are curious about this issue whether as a blogger or a business owner. I’ve met countless business owners or PRs that mentioned bloggers in Malaysia are overrated and some – arrogant. Then, they further elaborate on why they felt Malaysian bloggers are overrated. It can be a lot of reasons, in fact, the debacle between Xiaxue and Gushcloud early this year is also a major contributing factor but the main conclusion is bloggers are not giving them much impact and almost zero impact. So, doesn’t that only indicates that bloggers are no longer a relevant digital marketing solution?

Story of my blogging life.

It Is The Guy

Author:

Do you know what I hate a lot about lining up besides waiting ridiculously long for something that can be done in less than a minute? And especially in Malaysia, you have no short of places where you had to queue for some ridiculous amount of time. Well, I hate it when someone farts when lining up. Seriously. You can’t move away and have your place being overtook by someone else and you can’t be sure of who being the one who laid the bomb. Most of the time, we took a guess. This is the result.

The Marriage Question

Author:

What is the most annoying thing that almost everyone in their mid-20’s have? The marriage question from relatives or your parents’ friends. Not sure if this was written on the book of “How to communicate with your friend/relative’s young adult”, if there is, the author should be skewered through his/her anus, but this question annoys the shit out of every single one of us. Sometimes I wonder why would they even care about my marriage when my parents clearly don’t? The level of nosiness is definitely high.

The Most Annoying Itch

Author:

Just several days ago, I saw a friend posted a status asking which part of your body when bitten by mosquitoes to be the most annoying. In her opinion, she think it is definitely between your toes. In my opinion as a guy, IT IS ALSO BETWEEN TOES.. But between the two set of toes. Balls. Although I did not elaborate much why but here is an explanation on why the most annoying itch when bitten by mosquitoes will be the balls. Here it is.

Malaysia Halloween Costumes

Author:

It is Halloween on the 31st of October 2013! Happy Halloween everybody! Although this culture is only applicable to America but this culture had caught up to Malaysia. Probably the only excuse to dress like how they normally can’t dress as. But it got me thinking. If Halloween in Malaysia were really like how the Americans celebrate back in their country, people would probably go all out to top one another. And I came up with a couple of costumes that might or might not work at all. So here you go guys. Enjoy.

Misunderstood Designers

Author:

Sorry once again for the absence of post last Friday as I was really really drowned with work before that. Again. No longer a surprise, aint it? Anyway, probably some of you know that I am a designer. Before you go “Well, DUH!” on me, I am not a graphic designer or an illustrator. Well, DUH since my graphic and illustration skills sucks. I am actually a 3D Event Designer and I mainly work on 3D artist impressions and visuals. Basically, I design how an event would look and goes like. Saying that, I believe most of us designers have this problem. Our jobs are often misunderstood and undervalued. I met countless designers who share the same view as mine. Here’s an incident that happens to me before.

Just This One Time

Author:

In this world of blogging, there are a lot of things unseen to the public eyes. Much like the assets of some people in this country. I would actually admit that bloggers have a really bad name among the public, advertisers, and most importantly the mainstream media community. There are a lot of things I could say regarding this but let’s just leave this for another time shall we? It is actually a myth that most bloggers were being paid with a ridiculous amount of money most of the time because we don’t. You can see most of us have a full time job right? Why would we even need a full time job if we are being paid so much? So it comes to a point where clients wanted to engage the bloggers as bloggers somehow being regarded as “elite” since we were getting paid. This is a story that I experienced myself and also some bloggers I knew experienced as well. Well, it is a collective effort I must say.
