What was your idea of hanging out in a cafe? I bet most would thought of getting coffee or tea – choices that are way too common. Allow me to introduce you a different type of beverage outlet where you can get to chill with your friends with a cosy environment and enjoy excellent beverage. Juice D’ Fruitz, is a juice bar located at Setiawalk, Puchong (opening one outlet very soon in Sunway Pyramid)
Upon entering this outlet, I was definitely attracted to the cosy environment and interior of the outlet. I like the choices of furniture and the echo-less interior that would encourage me to stay comfortable hanging out with my friends.
The specialty of Juice D’ Fruitz is thier cold-pressed juices. If you do not know, cold-pressed juice can retain most of the nutrients in your fruits before turning them into juice. The traditional blender will cause lost of nutrients due to heat cause by the kinetic movement of the blender.
During my last visit with Caroline, Anna and Eunice, we tried these 4 of their specialty drink which is all pretty good.
1. Lovely Lady (The Orange Colour) – Pineapple, Orange, Red Apple and Strawberry
2. P&A Juice (The Yellow Colour) – Lemon, Green Apple, Orange and Pears
3. Fruity Berry (The Dark Red Colour) – Red Apple, Orange, Blackberries, Blueberries and Strawberries
4. Happy Grapie (The Reddish Orange Colour) – Grapes, Grapefruit, Apple and Orange
Like their fruits, the ingredients used in their salad are definitely fresh especially their vegetables. They uses very light seasoning on their salad, which is definitely my kind of salad (never a fan of salad with heavy dosage of sauce or seasoning).
Probably one of the most value for money breakfast platter I had in a while. The portion for this Sunshine Platter is huge. Each of the ingredients are cooked well especially the sausages – which is still quite juicy and not overcooked like most cafes I frequented. The Sunshine Platter is available for order all-day at Juice D’ Fruitz.
The Dancing Mushroom is a dish that I felt can be shared between 2 people. Unless you are hungry as heck and you felt that you can gobble down 3 plates of nasi lemak in no time. The mushroom cooked with cream sauce is exceptionally filling but it tasted great. The croissant was toasted perfectly to crispy on the outside while being fluffy on the inside. Besides that, the tapioca chips at the side is simple irresistible. I hope they would come up with a side dish for this.
The Chicken Bolognese was pretty average to me. The sauce combination is just right but I felt the angel hair pasta was slightly overcooked. I’m glad that their chunky pieces of chicken meat are plentiful though.
Finally, we are being served with this fruit platter with chocolate dip. Their chocolate are thick and not too sweet which make the dip perfect. I definitely prefer a dip that is not sweet so I can taste the sweetness from the fruits instead.
So next time, if you are looking for a place to hang out in Puchong, do give Juice D’ Fruitz a consideration. As for myself, I have no problems visiting their outlet anytime I’m around Setiawalk. Since they are opening in Sunway Pyramid soon, I’m guessing I will be their regular customer.
